WOODLAND PARK

Well, the weather is not wanting to cooperate, but I am going to say that we WILL be going to Woodland Park. The Weather Channel is calling for 50% rain, but I am going to go ahead and be a gambler and hope that it doesn't rain on us!
Please dress your child appropriately for the weather. Reminder, we are WALKING to Woodland Park. I am still planning on leaving the school around 9 and returning by 1:00. We may have to adjust the times if it does indeed decide to rain.

Rain, Rain, Go Away!

Looking at the 10 day weather forecast, all I see is RAIN! If by Wednesday, the forecast is still calling for rain on Friday we WILL NOT be going on our Woodland Park Field Trip. We will have to figure out a Plan B.

Woodland Park

Thank you to those who have volunteered to bring an item to our barbeque. If anyone else would like to bring something, we are still in need of hot dogs, buns and juice.
Also, just wanted to clarify that your child's last day of school is still June 9th (My last day is May 27th)! I have lots of great activities planned for them for the last week of school, including a field trip to Lone Pine Park with the other two Kindergarten classes.

Kindergarten Families! May 3, 2011

What a year! Hard to believe we have one month left of school!

May 27th will be my last day of school this year; I will be taking my maternity leave during the month of June. To celebrate our last day together, I am planning a field trip down to Woodland Park, weather permitting! While there, we will play, feed the ducks and have a barbeque. Please circle one item you would be willing to bring. I order for our trip to be successful I am in need of a few parent volunteers. If you are able to join us please let me know. I also need a parent who would be willing to drive our goodies from the school to the gazebo, charcoal, hotdogs, juice, etc...
Thank you for an outstanding year!
~Mrs. Wyant

THANK YOU PARENTS!

You are amazing! Our class placed the most orders on Hedges Fundraiser Night at Papa John's and we earned a FREE PIZZA PARTY for the class!! :) Thank you for supporting our PTO!

Tomorrow, Tuesday the 19th we have TWO trips planned. In the morning the entire school will be walking in shifts to Elrod for an assembly. Every student is encouraged to wear Hedges' gear or Green or yellow. In the afternoon we will be taking our field trip to the Public library. We will be leaving the school around noon and you are welcome to join. We may have some tired kids by the end of the day with all the walking, but I'm sure we will all have a great time tomorrow!!

Spring Cleaning

I did a little Spring cleaning this afternoon and while doing so discovered I have WAY TOO MANY books. Each child was able to select a couple of books to take home. So, if you see an unfamiliar book in your child's backpack, yes this is something he/she can keep. :)
